I bought this unit seven months ago. But nowadays I have been facing problem with the touchpad.The multi touch works fine but scrolling is a problem. When I scroll down the cursor automatically goes up at top of page. Please help

i bought this unit about a month ago.. and my only problem is the battery life is so short like 1 hour and 30 mins only even if i only use minimal display brightness and only use ms word and just searching the net.. could you please help me how can i make the battery life longer? thanks

I have this Laptop and there is no noise at all from the unit ...I agree about most of the review though the screen looks better in real life than suggested in the review ...Thanks for the review

I have the same Acer Aspire V5 471G with i3, 1GB graphic .. And i have tried  installing  Linux OS like Mint, Zorin, fedora, open SUSE, Ubuntu ..but i could not shutdown in any Linux instead it gets restart. But in in windows 8 it works fine only the problems is it couldn't resume after hibernation...
and it has poor backup.. i couldn't even watch a movie longer than 2.5 hours......

What would be the version of the display panel? There is quite a bit of difference between this panel (which is said to be B140XW03, without further specification) and, say, the B140XW03 V1 of the Thinkpad E420s...
