Wie schon bei Windows Phone 7 werden auch die neuen Smartphones mit Windows Phone 8 auf einem einheitlichen Chipsatz von Qualcomm setzen. Statt wie bisher aus der Serie Snapdragon S1 oder S2 halten mit Windows Phone 8 die Chipsätze der Serie Krait Snapdragon S4 Plus Einzug bei den Windows-Phone-Handys.
