I appreciate this useful review of the Samsung laptop.  However, none of the criticism relates to my problem:  The level of screen illumination seems to fluctuate and change every few seconds, which is extremely annoying when doing word processing.   What can be the cause?  Is it a failing video card?  Everything else seems to work as expected.

If anyone else has encountered this problem, I would like to hear from them.

I found this for £799 on John Lewis. http://www.johnlewis.com/231740125/Product.aspx. It's currently reduced to clear, which to me looks like an absolute bargain.

Rejuvenation. Samsung refreshes its Series 7 models and launches the successor to the luxurious all-rounder 700Z5A with the latest hardware. In the following review, we will take a look at how well the aluminium-cloaked 700Z5C performs in our tests.
