iOcean X7 is still good smartphone...much better than some other Chinese phones.... and recently the iOcean company introduced a new model with name X7S Elite... It should be a very good device... i found this review http://www.imgspirit.com/iocean-x7s-elite-review-real-octa-core-smartphone/

It seems that these Chinese phone makers do not pay attention to idle power use, 1.5 W during idle seems like a lot of CPU wakelocks or background processing. So when the phone is low on batt, you can't even extend it by just not using it.

Very detailed review. People rarely do this for China branded mobiles.

Thanks a lot in helping a purchase decision.

Wow!!! The most detailed china phone review on the net. I really appreciate the effort you guys put in this. Finding such a review is simply impossible.Am planning to buy the iOcean Elite version with 2Gb RAM and 32Gb internal memory for around 280 us dollars which i think is a total bargain. The Elite version apparently also has an OGS display so hopefully the backlight problem is solved. And you guys gave it a score of 80% so i think my buy is totally worth it dont you think??

High-end for the masses? For little money, the user gets a 5.0-inch touchscreen, which has a Full HD resolution, a quad-core processor, 12.6 megapixel camera, and Android 4.2. Not all that glitters is gold? Let's take a closer look ...
