Success. Intel's Bay Trail platform and Windows with Bing enable manufacturers to build cheaper and cheaper notebooks and tablets. Dell took advantage of these developments and just released an 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet with a bright, high-contrast IPS display -- for just 160 to 180 Euros (~195-220 USD).

We really want to know about the sRGB Color Space, and not AdobeRGB!

It is just a tablet (or a Notebook)!!
These are not similar to an Adobe workstation or a high-end monitor,  fully pointless with AdobeRGB reviews it were!!

This review has merely provided the scale of AdobeRGB color space,  looks a bit worthless.
For most tablets we really wanted to know about the sRGB colour scale (really valuable info), and not AdobeRGB.

Lately, Notebookcheck's reviewer who brain deeply got into bad problem, only with a shallow view blindly fixates AdobeRGB, in fact, he is really blind way, do not know about sRGB which is more widely using.

Also, should provide the measured view of the Color Space, it is very necessary, not a percent number able to substitute for the measured view.  Surely,  should together provide both with the measured view and a percent number.

If you who review the high-class level monitor, you should provide AdobeRGB and sRGB, it is both data, but not just AdobeRGB!

I have both version of the Dell Venue 8 Pro, and here are my observations of the limitations of the 3845 versus the 5830.

3845 hooks into recovery partition, thus it cannot be removed else system is unbootable.

5830 Recovery partition removable.

3845 corrupts any system recovery image created by Windows if it is saved to an sdcard/SDXC (which is recognized as an allowable backup device). The recovery image is only usable if it is saved to external HDD.

5830 allows backup to, and recovery from sdcard/SDXC via Windows recovery environment..

3845  does not have a dual band wireless N card (only 2.4ghz)

5830 has dual band wireless N capability (2.4/5ghz).

Then of course, as mentioned, 3845 has slower Quad core CPU, half the RAM, reversed buttons, etc.

Also, on the note of the system image recovery. Windows recovery environment on the 3845 does not recognize any NTFS formatted USB drive or NTFS formatted SD/SDXC card (thus it is not able to detect any WindowsImageBackup that may exist on said sdcard).

It will state the NTFS formatted sdcard is an "unknown" file system, and give an option to "format".

This of course, is not an issue on the 5830 which is able to read from an NTFS formatted sdcard in the system image recovery environment.

Hello,
I've heard that the "new" venue 8 pro (v. 3845) doesn't come with a digitizer and therefore it cannot be used with the Active Stylus pen like in the old one (v. 5830). Can anyone tell me if this info is correct? That will totally influence my decision to buy the "new" venue or not, since I'm looking for one with the synaptic capability.
Thanks in advance.

Since this comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 is now available, will it automatically download 10 and if it does, will 10 run on this machine? I've heard that 10 need at least 2 GB of RAM and this machine comes with only 1 GB.
