A wolf in sheep's clothing. Gaming notebooks do not necessarily have to be big, bulky and heavy. Razer shows that you can also put a lot of performance into a thin case.

Agian , you emphasise gaming, as an architect I want a light notebook for 3d modelling and rendering,, and I need this in a portable form for presentations, working on flights, etc etc, 3D is now an integral process in our profession. I agree that it really is a shame they used such a lousy screen and that rules it out for me, i cant afford to be showing clients false colours, mind you in most cases I work on a 2560x1600 dell 30" at the office and most client presentations are now thru HDMI connections to LCD TVs. Almost pushes all the right buttons that SONY used to excel at until the lost the plot. Cant wait for some serious challengers to the Blade in the next 3 months. Now if it had a stylus touch screen like my galaxy note 10.1 I would be in heaven.

The Dell M3800 could be what you´re after Gary. I´ve just received one, lightweight and with a great screen it´s keeping up with my drafting and modelling so far.

For the same price, you get better graphics performance, A lot more sound power/quality and a much better screen in a 15 inch retina macbook pro... And about the same portability... Razer should reconsider their price for a low end macbook pro...

MWOW

Better graphics performance? How is intel iris better performance than nvidia gtx 765? I can't think of any application in which it would perform better.

Sobe

Same price for better performance? The rMPB with a GTX 750m is $2600, and thats still far from GTX 765m performance.

Its quite the oposite.

Ran

Yes, same performance. If its the same deal with last year retina GPU. Last year the 650m gpu that was inside the retina was actually clocked higher than other laptop gt 650m manufactures, bringing it to similar performance as a gt 670m.
So im guessing its the same this year, meaning the gt 750m inside the macbook pro retina is actually a gt 765...

I owned the razer blade when it first came out and sold it after 3 weeks... Quality sound was so bad... You felt the heat on ur legs A Lot worse than other thin metalic laptops... And the price it charged didnt compinsate for the shitty performance comparing ro an asus g55jw. Even if its heavier or bigger... When the macbook retina came out, it seemed like a razer blade only with better sound, better battery, better screen and no usless LCD touchpad that came in the razer blade 17 inch model...

The GT 750M is not close to the GTX 765M. In 3D Mark 2011 its 2500 vs 4000. The GTX 765M is 60% more powerful. It's more than the difference between playing at 1600x900 and 1366x768. The MacBook is also much more expensive.

Also, please mind spelling and punctuation, it's a nightmare to read your comments.

Of course gaming is emphasized. Razer's motto is "For gamers. By gamers".

My son purchased this and loves it. I am in the carbon fibre business and designed a carbon fibre case specifically for him. It came out so well we started offering it as retail product to go along with our Macbook line of carbon fibre cases. Mach 3 Composites
