Affordable productivity. Lenovo’s latest update to the ThinkPad Edge series brings with incremental hardware updates and some fresh connectivity options. Can it stand alongside its competition?

It comes with a 7 mm HDD but I would like to upgrade it with a 9.5 mm thick SSD. Would it be possible?

How does the build quality of the E431 compare with the T-series. I understand that the T-series is maintained by IBM where as the Edge is a Lenovo only product. Also, the T-series is certified according to military specifications. Can we expect the same quality with the Edge ?

Wanted to go for the T series but due to budget limitations I decided to just stick with the E431. I don't expect T series quality by a long shot for just half the price. But this is a valid question I would like to know myself.

How about the video card capacity? Could it play High Definition games(HD) ? In other words, is it recommendable for serious gaming?
