Kepler power. Schenker's 15 inch XMG A522 is especially aimed at price-conscious gamers. Nvidia's brand new 28 nm GeForce GTX 660M GPU bids the perfect blend of performance and energy-efficiency. The battery life is not to come too short either thanks to Optimus. A well-rounded package?

Hello

It's a good review.
Unfortunately The GTX660M is locked  on 405 MGZ from factory and
It makes the expensive GTX 660M almost useless.
I am in opinion that you had to mention  this important detail in your test report.

Tom

Hallo

Hi

We can confirm that the 660M in the A522 runs at the same speeds as the review suggests, which are:

- Stock Core clock is 835MHz
- Boost Core Clock is 950MHz
- Memory runs at 1250MHz/2500MHz

The GPU clock is not locked lower than this and the A522 that our customers receive shows the same clock speeds and performance as the notebookcheck review suggests!

Excellent review & thanks for that. I got this setup about a year ago and now upon starting studies the noise might become a problem (studies include use of laptop on heavy load).

Is there suggestions to eliminate the noise (besides proper cleaning) problem or is it possible? Swapping the fan for a different one? If the fan swap is possible, is there a suggestion which might help on said problem?

Many thanks in advance!

Is there a way to unlock the turbo feature? I could really use that extra juice this thing can get
